...off..is it good now? For a few weeks before, I felt the car studder while accellerating at a light, then thrusting forward. At 25mph, the car like goes back & forth when going into 30mph & then its fine. The check engine light came on w/Code 0742 Torque Circuit Cluth Stuck Open (took it to Meinekes) and they said after a test drive, the light went off and they experienced no symptoms of studder and jerking of the car. They recomm. a rebuilt tranny. I left and have not had any issues. Should I get a transmission fluid & filter change? Or can that really mess it up? I put like 20k on it, never changed the tran.fluid. I figure something was stuck and it came out while at Meinekes? Or Is it possible to fix this TCC (how much) Any help on this ??? Thanks!!!

The car most likely needs a new TCC solenoid. These were a common failure in G.M. cars causing the symptoms you were describing. Other symptoms may include: shudder or stalling at stops, car lugging on acceleration, harsh shifts, etc. Car may feel like stuck in second gear on stopping and taking off from stop. I hope this helps.

The TCC is in the trans and if it is malfunctioning you will need to repair it soon as it can cause major damage if not repaired ..
as for price it would very depending on what needs to be done to get to it,
I would shop around to get a feel for prices in your area..
