Not sure if it's the weather but its been in single digits lately. When I start the car I have to give it a little gas for it to start, I have to rev it up to about 3-4 and if I let off the gas the rpm's will go to 0 and stall. The only way for me to keep it on is to start it, rev it up and hurry and put it in drive before it stalls and then the car will sit and idle forever and won't stall. I can then drive it anywhere without stalling. Anytime I turn it off, I have to do the same process. Now sometimes it will start after tapping the gas and it will be fine but that is 1 out of 10 chance. I would appreciate all help I can get. Thanks

Check and clean the throttle body and IAC valve.
Also, carefully check all your vacuum lines and connections for breaks or leaks.

Additionally, on my 96 with the 3.1L V6, the PCV valve tube runs from the PCV valve to a tee that drops into the throttle body with a smaller line that connects to the evap can purge valve. If you have the same engine, check that line especially where it connects to the throttle body. Mine had melted through the years and was leaking. It's hard to see as it's under the throttle linkage bracket. You may want to remove the bracket for a positive inspection.

O'Reilly had a replacement for $8.99

Do you have a check engine light on? Reving a cold engine to 3-4K is not a great idea.

Yea the check engine light is on, I am going to advance auto parts to get the diagnostic. I talked to a few mechanics, one that worked on my car before and he said that the vacuum line to intake manifold might be leaking. Is this a issue that would need fixed immediately?

You need the codes to determine what is causing your isssues. If the car does have a vacuum line leak did you ask how much to fix it? If it is causing the problem why would you ask if needs to be fixed?

I never made it to the store, tried starting it the other day and it sounded very rough and when I put it in drive I went about 200 feet and it stalled, I tried to start it again to put it in reverse and drove back to park it again. While trying to start it a 3rd time I just hear a knock and thats it, no cranking, just one loud click and thats it. I think the battery is fine but I have a bad feeling the engine or starter seized up
