I have a 97 sunfire with a 2.2 and an automatic i want to put a 5 speed and a v6 in it id like an opinion on if its possible and with ones will fit i will go for chopin but lil as possible.

i would not do that change because i did and i can't start my car no more becase the stupid thef lock that comes with the car wont let me the moter will turn but wont start so if your going to do a moter cange i sugest to go to gm dealer ok becase its less truble later kherault

just find the theft lock and un disable it?
I have a 1999 bonneville 3.8L V6 I am going to put in my 2003 sunfire, and the anti theft is not the problem I am worried about. I am worried about my 5 speed tranny. Will it bolt up to the 3.8? from the 2.2L

ur 5 speed will not bolt up u need to find a 5 speed from a 2.8 or a 3.1L for it to work
a 3.1 gear box is the same as a 2.2 the best thing to do is to make a bolt pattern out of cardboard first.

A tranny from a 3.1 would work best for your application.
