97 Sunfire, 2.2L
Will start up and run just fine, after you've driven it to operating temperature, if you shut it off, I will not run again until it's sat for a while.
While you're driving it, it will pop at 4-4.5k RPMs - won't go past, like it's maybe losing compression in a cylinder?
Coils, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, air filter, throttle position sensor have all been replaced. Oil has been changed, engine has been seafoamed, checked for vacuum leaks.
Can't for the life of me figure out where the MAF is... Some places I've found say it has one, some don't.
When it's "popping" at 4k, it seems to be pushing back through the intake. Any thoughts? Our next planned steps are checking fuel compression and the Cat.
Codes that the CEL was throwing - cylinder misfire detected - random cylinders, Throttle position sensor (before we replaced that), System fault (exhaust gas recirculation), Fuel trim bank one condition.
