Hello all.

I am starting to rebuild my 1973 firebird and have a question regarding the front nose. What would be the best method to strip off all the paint? I know these are made out of some type of urethane or something, don't want to ruin it. It is the stock piece. Any info would be great. Thx.

Bead blasting with the proper media would be one method or a chemical that is safe for urethane.

you can use white silica sand with a sand blaster it will not hurt the bumper only takes the paint off. 80/120/150 grit sandpaper on a d/a sander or by hand. i would not use paint striper may be hard to get out of the pores and cause problems later!
