98 2.4L missfire ideling

I have a 98 sunfire with the 2.4L and their is a missfire only when ideling. I have changed the 2 coils, the coil housing and the rubber boots for the plugs. I have no clue on what the problem is. would anyone know? I am wasting to much money on playing the guessing game. Thanks

are you positive that your plug wires are in the right places? thats all i can think of

My 2002 2.4L idles rough too. It always has. I doesnt missfire though. Denso Iridium plugs helped smooth mine out. But if your is actually missfireing that cant be good.

Are you using any coolant? even a small amount?

bad oxygen sensor would cause a missfire any type of hairline rip in any of the boots would cause a missfire alsospark plugs not gapped right would also cause missfire i suggestion would be take it to a place that does free diagnostics and if it dont show its mechanical

my 99 gt does the same thing and i have a slight rip in one of the boots that i havent replaced yet
