Ok so, I tried looking through the past threads and couldn't find anything about the issue I'm having. I recently got a 98 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L automatic. When I bought it I knew it would be a project. The radiator was blown so we got a parts car(cavalier) and replaced the radiator. -side note- previous owner of the sunfire was NOT running dex cool in the car even though it specifies only dex. I changed the oil/oil filter, put in coolant, tried to turn her over and she just won't start up. We checked and replaced the spark plugs(checked spark, it's there) and upon checking number 3, fluid was coming out. We aren't sure if it's because right before we checked it we were trying to start the car so it flooded or if there is another issue with it. Anyone have any knowledge on any of this or What could be wrong? Thanks!

what kind of fluid, anything other than gasoline and you have some issues to deal with. If it's coolant you probably have a blown head gasket or cracked head.

Looks, feels, and smells like gasoline and nothing else. Would it be very evident if there was coolant coming from it?

yes, coolant is green or red, and gasoline has a very distinctive odor. Did this car run when you got it? Can you do a fuel pressure test?

It was gasoline. Figured out the problem this morning. When we changed the radiator over we didn't get the air bubbles out so it wouldn't start. we opened up the coolant lid(can't think of the right word!) and it started up. Thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it!
