98 Sunfire

I'm the proud owner of a 98 Sunfire. I was disappointed to learn the vehicle has manual windows. I was hoping someone would be able to point out the value and difficulty level to upgrade to power windows (DIYS).

you would have to try and find all the parts in a salvage yard including wiring harnesses. Does not sound like a very practical project.

If you have an extensive mechanical background it's doable project. It would involve replacing the regulator and door panels, possibly more. Then you would need the harnesses and switches. Then it would get real fun tying them into the factory wiring. It's not going to be a plug-n-play job. Be happy you have one less power accessory to fail.

I decided it's not benificial to make that upgrade. After reading your messages, it's clearly a good choice not to.
