99 GA security light always on

I just replaced the ignition lock cylinder on my 99 Grand Am GT. The car starts fine now, and I have driven it about 30 miles with no problems. However, the SECURITY light is continuously on. I tried disconnecting the battery, that didn't fix it. Does anybody know what is going on? Am I in danger of having the Passlock system kick in and prevent the car from starting?

You'll probaly have to take it to a dealership to get the security syustem relearned.

If you haven't done this, pull the E-brake up to keep the DRL's off, and put the ignition switch in the run position, and the engine not running. Keep it on for 10 mins and the light will turn off. Then turn the key off and take it out, and then start it up...... That might do the trick.
