Okaii.. From the beginning.. I have a 99 grand am gt 3.4 the motor went and by went the head gasket was more gone then there... I ended up ceasing the motor on the highway..

When to a junk yard and pulled a motor from a 2003 grand am gt 3.4L

Put it all back together and after a few issues LOL (trunk popping while trying to start LOL) she started :) and now shes running SUPER ROUGH! the service engine soon light is on but to the actual check engine light..

The only thing that was modified was the intake which was ports and polish.

Any help would be more than appreciated!!!!

Thanks everyone!

Time to start checking everything :p. I am surprised it isn't throwing the check engine light! You will need to check spark and fuel.

Well theres been a full tank of gas in it and its been damn near a year sitting... and I will and keep you posted :P

Well old gas is not too good. Anyway, I mean get a fuel pressure tester from a local auto parts store and make sure the pump is working (sending 45-50ish psi and that the pressure holds for a few minutes) that is number 1. I hope when the engine was put in, some 1 cleaned the fuel injectors manually (and changed regulator [why not it's off]) This is to determine fuel is being delivered to the engine.

After that, you need to make sure that it is sending sparking at the coils, down the wire, at the spark plug. After that it's timing, maybe back pressure from cat, or a computer.

Kinda hard to say since no codes are being thrown.

Also double check the spark plug order! and make sure the correct spark plug wire goes to the correct spark plug!
