99" pontiac firebird possible fuel problem?

hello everyone I have a 1999 pontiac firebird v6...9 out of 10 times when I go to the gas station the pump always stops and I will have to hold it lightly in order for it to continue pumping...before it wouldn.t happen this often now its happening very frequently...does anybody know why this is happening? also alot of times after I have driven a while my car smells like burnt gas???please help thanks...

Are you always going to the same gas station? If so it could be the gas station pump not your car. Not sure what you mean by the smell of burnt gas. You could have an oil leak running onto a hot surface giving a burnt oil smell. The car should be checked for some sort of leak
