Can someone please give me and idea on whats going on with my car. It was overheating so I got a new thermostat. Its still overheating and the heat isnt working. Its driving me nuts. The windows dont fog up, Or anything, It just blows out cold air and when you drive it for only 15min it goes all the way to hot and eventually shuts off. Its also I guess leaking antifreeze because ill put some in and it will be gone within an hour or two!! Thanks so much!!

if you drive a overheated car untill it shuts off.....have a compression test and leakdown test done...the head gasget is probibly blown....bad news

if it only runs for 15 minutes it must be that the belt is either off or the water pump is not working to circulate the fluid through the engine. It could be also that you never actually filled up the engine with coolant completely. you need to do that when it is cooled off. And, some vehicles have aftermarket bypass kits installed to shut off water going to the heater which is not as likely but possible

not rocket science... radiator problem (leak or blockage).

Do you have antifreeze under the car where you park? Your heater is not working because your low on water. Could be a head gasket or a cracked head and your blowing it out the tail pipe.
