OK, so not quite 99, but I have some issues with a 2000 2.4L grand am i picked up for almost nothing and I need some help diagnosing them if you have the patience.

1. Power loss- It doesn't have any giddyup whatsoever...
2. Loud vibrating noise- Sounds like its coming from the front passenger wheel...
... Sounds like i'm running on new mud tires.
3. Low idle- Putters when stopped in drive, smooths out a bit when in park.
4. No blinkers- When I flip the switch it ticks once and then nothing.
5. ABS, Check Engine, Change Oil Lights- Not throwing any codes, yet they
shine.

If anyone knows about any of these issues I'd really appreciate some wisdom, Thanks!

Since you got this car for nothing, always start with a full tune up.

New spark plugs, radiator flush, oil, transmission (assuming auto), check tires (rotate/balance), visually check the brakes, check power steering fluid, clean throttle body. air filter (cabin & car), ect.

Anyway, start with that then continue and see if there are still "99" problems

If your check engine light is on there should be a code. Are you using the correct scanner and did you check the cigarette lighter fuse which provides power for the diagnostic port?

Also, while you are changing the plugs, take the opportunity to measure the compression. They should all be within 10% of each other. If you have one or two that are drastically lower then you will have to decide if it's worth putting a new/rebuilt engine in. Of course, that could also indicate a blown head gasket, not as drastic a repair.

Also check all your fluids for contamination, dirt, grit, etc.

To melsg5...
I got it scanned at advance. I'd like to assume they used the correct scanner. Besides not understanding why the lights are on and there arent any codes, theres enough thats obviously off enough for it to throw something. And no, I havent checked the fuse but the cig lighter works.
