99 Sunfire 2.2 starting issue

So, I replaced the thermostat on the weekend, and to rev up the engine I reached behind the engine and used the throttle cables to accelerate the engine. Since then, it doesn't want to start. Almost seems like its flooding because I can smell excess gas. Any ideas?

Check to see if you knocked loose any vacuum or electrical connections.

You may have knocked loose the vent on the purge canister

Thx for the responses. I checked before I left work tonight, and everything seemed in its place, and it started right up. No issue. I'll try to look further into it this weekend.
