a 2001 pontiac sunfire?

My boyfriend bought a 2001 pontiac sunfire three days ago (no manual)
and now there is a light that came up its next to his gas gauge, it almost looks like an engine, or a pipe. Its yellow.. I am hoping someone with a pontiac sunfire, finds this post and knows what i am talking about! Its kinda weird to explain.. (but its not the service engine light), PLEASE HELP!!

low fuel? if you bring the vehicle to any automotive parts store they will be able to tell you and should scan the vehicle for free if its a check engine light. also the owners manual will have pictures of all the warning lights and what they mean.
