camaro ss? i have a 99 camaro ss and i was thinking about converting it in to a 6 speed? about how much would it be.
 
It depends on what tranny you go with look to spend $1000 to About 2000, on a good tranny. as for installing the tranny, a few minor changes like hole in the floor board and what not. But should bee a snap
 
You'll need a T-56 out of a 98-02 F-Body(Camaro/Firebird) along with the pedals, a clutch master cylinder and line, a few holes and the PCM reprogrammed. Check out EBAY for the trans and pedals. All 98-00 should be upgraded to 01-02 master and slave cylinders so purchase new ones for 01-02 F-Bodys. You can also visit T-56 rebuilds for a complete trans with upgraded internals. Stage 1 runs about 1000.00 with a 500.00 core so you'd be looking at 1500.00 since you wouldn't have a core.
