abs problem

i have a 2002 sunfire and my abs light is on, i checked all of my sensors and they seem to be in range, i also took the abs modual from the junkyard and it still does not work. do you guys have any suggestions. also i have a scanner and the codes are c1233 and c1278.

C1233 is the right front sensor. The sensor is bad or you have a broken wire leading to the sensor.

C1278 refers to the traction control system being shut down which may be caused by the wheel sensor not working.

well that's weird because i don't have traction control on my car. when i replaced my old abs modual with the one i found in the junkyard the codes it had where C1225, C1233 and c1235. so with the codes my new abs modual is showing (c1233 and c1278) does that mean that the one i took is broken? should i get another one?

sounds like you got the wrong one from the junkyard

thats what i thought because there is a sticker on the one i got from the junkyard saying that i should get one with the recommended part number but i don't know what the recommended part number for my car is, is there a way i could find it?

assuming it's not on the original one, you can try a GM dealer
