i have a 2000 Montana with factory rear air shocks. im trying to find a replacment set that arent from the dealer. i found some Monroe MA824 Max-Air Air Shock Absorber via amazon.com. i used the my garage feature to find them. it say in the notes that they are for Rear Max Air, FOR TOWING AND HAULING~ADAPTOR KIT IS REQ'D TO INSTALL THIS UNIT WHEN INSTALLING ON VEHICLES w/o REAR AIR LEVELING SYSTEM. so dose that mean they will bolt right up or does it need the adapter??? the item link is www.amazon.com/Monroe-MA824-Max-Air...tive&Make=Pontiac|52&Year=2000|2000&carId=003 ty you in advance for assistance with this problem.

Found REAL OEM shocks in Ebay for about $60

Rear air shocks were leaking badly on my 99 Montana. Researched shocks and found several posts complaining about several aftermarket shocks. Then just by chance found someone in NY selling the real OEM new shocks for about $60. The header advertised them as Venture shocks but they are the same on the Montana. Came in non-OEM boxes but I'm not saving the boxes. Some useful info in forums regarding changing them and Youtube also. Took about 1 1/2 hours to do both. Look on Ebay under Venture shocks. Best deal around.
