Hello,

let me describe my situation and please if you know, give me clear answer.

I bought Alpine CDE-110 stereo and I connected all wires/as of diagram except one RED ACC wire which is missing in car factory wire harness and I have found out that its because that function is transfered to vehicle computer system.

I read something how it can be done but I dont understant it very well because I am not a mechanic etc. something with fuses and key ignition and so on.

So now I have a bunch of wires sticking outside my dash and no working stereo.
thanks for any help

if you are referring to the red wire labelled #4 in the instructions, use a voltmeter to determine which fuse has power when the key is in the accessory position or the car is turned on. Be careful that you do let any power wires touch anything metal or disconnect the car battery after you determine where to connect the wires.

Do you mean fuses in the box near drivers door? If I do so and determine where is the power what needs to be done?

As you know diagram of fuses in sunfire do you know which fuse can be the right one as I dont feel any hot they seems to be all in same temp.
Thanks

Got it, thanks:) but as I have no voltmeter i guess you have that knowledge which has the power? For example there is pwr acc fuse, could be the good one?

take two pieces of wire and any 12 volt bulb to find the correct fuse

Here are two photos
I cant find out which fusr has the power therefore I am trying to connect all one by one.
I need to know if I remove the fuse and connect there fuse tap do i need also connect original fuse into the tap? For example i connected tap instead rear defog and without connecting the original fuse into the tap the light button for defog was not lightning

didnt the tap come with instructions? Do you see slits in the side of the tap to install the original fuse?

Yes, there are slits and as you can see on picture one red fuse is already in it from the side of tap. Anyway i have tried all fuses so problem has to be somewhere else that radio wont turn on...j bought it on kijiji so maybe it was not working or is there any way how to just try to connect to the car battery? Just to check if it can turn on

I finally did it, stereo turns on but no sound :( still waiting for antenna adaptor but no sound when playing cd. Also there are two grey wires in oem harness and just one should be for speaker, so what is the other one for? I tried to connect both but nothing helped.
Thanks
