air bag

I need to take the dash apart on my 2000 montana, doing that i need to disable the passenger side air bag. Any ideas how to safely do that?

On some vehicles behind the glove box there is a connector you can disconnect.

does it happen to be a yellow cable

Yea I think that's the universal color .

Hi !
How to remove Airbag:
- Disconnect the negative battery
- Wait about 10 minutes before proceeding.
- Remove the glove box
- Remove the 2 bolts holding the airbag in the vehicle with the key (see picture).
-. Pull forward the airbag and disconnect the cables behind it (the yellow plug)
