air intakes for 98

firebird v6? Companies like k&n do not make an intake kit for a 98 firebird v6. I know there is things like the SLP ram air kit(goes in between the radiator) and whisper lid but is there any more companies that make an actual intake, not alter what you already have

You can't upgrade it without altering it in some way. The Whisper lids are direct bolt ons and make the air flow much better. Add a KN filter and get better flow without modding anything.

The engine you have is not made for performance use so that would be why it's hard to find parts for ..
also an "intake" kit really won't do much for performance it's something "ricers"
Use to help make them think their economy engines are performance engines ..
the amount of HP increase you actually see at the wheels would be negligable if any at all ...
you may see a slight increase in mileage with a free flow airfilter set up like the SLP but I dont believe the V/6 is the same set up as the LT1-LS1 set ups
therefore it probably won't fit a V/6 car.. if you have the 3800 series V/6 there are some performance parts available but they are not cheep
as most are made for turbo set ups the other V/6s are commuter engines and there is not much available for making HP.
