Anyone ever had issues with Rear Trailing arm bushings?

My 2001 Sunfire has a loud clunking noise in the rear end. The struts have all just been replaced and the noise is still there and hasn't changed. The local shop said if the car sits the rear trailing arm bushings rot. There must be some truth because my Sunfire sits now more then ever because its only driven in bad weather.

Yes it could be the bushings..what engine do you have 2.2/ 2.4?

2.2 the odd part is the noise goes away if its not cold outside.

that happens on certain problems..but you could have a lose bolt too..you should have a friend stand out side of the car and listen and see where the noise is comming from to narrow the issue down
