are body parts for camaro and firebird

interchangable? I have a 79 camaro, and I would like to put trans am parts on it, like maybe the front clip and fenders, will they fit a camaro, seems like they would but I dont know, thanks for your help.
 
2nd generation clips and fenders are the few parts that are definitely interchangeable.

They are NOT the same, 2nd gen firebird doors and fenders have completely different body lines and will not interchange with Camaros
I have seen some guys put front clips from one to another and it looks like SH%$ nothing will line up and the wheel wells are different shapes
look at them side by side once closely and you will see the difference ...
