I have a 2002 Pontiac aztek which has been converted to a 2WD from AWD. The vehicle works great but the AWD light on the DIC stays on. Is there any way to eliminate this?

From what my mechanic says the drive shaft was removed.

You would need a wiring diagram to determine if there is a sensor that is causing this and then somehow fool the sensor into thinking the AWD is functioning. I take it you are not interested in getting the AWD properly repaired?
