I disconnected the battery on my sunfire and now it starts for one second and dies. Any ideas?

what year is the car and isnt the security light on the dash display, what does that have to do with the radio not being stock?

same problem

Hi there i am having the same problem the battery went dead on me I have tried to boost the battery but no luck and the security light stays on I have tried the relearn procedure a few times and no luck it wont turn over or do anything is it time for me to take it to the dealer or do i need to replace the battery instead of boosting it for the relearn to work . . the car is a 97 Sunfire with a 2.2 and a non chip key . thanks for your time

If it wont turn over it's not a security issue, sounds like you have a dead battery that needs to be replaced and the charging system checked.

Replace the Battery

Have the shop or parts store try to charge the battery and if bad replace it.
