2001 grand am 2.4L
I think i am needing to swap the bcm. Even tho I have the resistor mod , some times it still has has the security issue with the key. Also using the scanner , it fails to auto ID the vin. I do not have check engine or service engine soon lights. Not sure if previous owners disable the lights or if it’s bcm related.
My question is does the bcm need to be programmed when it’s swapped? I’m having a hard time finding a bcm with the keyless entry option unless it’s a junk yard pull on eBay
