Hey guys, so I got tboned in my new 1985 fiero gt the other day, and have been having nothing but problems since, which was expected. I have fixed all but two things -
1) Body work. I think i have this covered.
2) Constant beeping/battery dying.
- This is teh annoying thing. My car went dead everytime i left it off for more than 3 hours. I have a new battery and alternator. I thought it was the interior lights being constantly on, since the door is currently barely being held on via zip ties. So i pulled what fuses i thought had to be pulled. this didn't work. next i took the sensor off the dorr that tells the car whether the door is open or close. this didnt work either. So now, after also removing all the interior light bulbs (which didnt work either) I am running out of options. I am in teh process of trying to get the button on the sensor pushed in, so that the car will think the door is shut, therefore shutting off the interior lights. The weird thing is, when i "shut" the door (which swings open if i let go of it) all the lights turn off. I haven't had enough time to see if the car will start after a few hours of it being off. If anyone has heard of this problem, or has some advice I would love to hear any of it. I have to be in court for the accident i got into at 9 a.m. wednesday and would like to be able to drive my car there. bumming rides off friends is not fun.. Thank you to anyone who reads this!!!
