Big Block Replacement

I was thinking about buying a big block engine for me 72 lemans as a long term builder project. Been able to find some oldsmobile and buick 455s for good prices around here. Wondering if anyone has done a serious engine swap like this and if it would work with a muncie or borg warner. Also if anyone has suggestions for a posi or any other rear end.

with the correct motor mounts and brackets it's a bolt in. You will need a BOP (Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac) bell housing for either trani. For GM the best rear would be a posi 12 bolt. Try www.summitracing.com or www.jegs.com for parts.
