blender door or temp actuator?

I have a 2000 Montana. The rear ac works great and the rear heat works great. The front blows hot air with the ac on and cold air when it is freezing out. It acts like the blender door is stuck wide open so only the outside temp will come through the vents.

Right now the cabin filters are not in the van, they are gone. Will that mess up the entire flow of air through the vents? I will get new ones later this week,

There is an actuator on the driver's side and it appears to move fine with no noise. It appears to be connected to a arm that I cannot see where it goes.
The actuator on the right passenger side appears to work fine. Is there another actuator I should be looking for?

I did put a new fan motor in the van prior to all this happening. I have replaced tjeh resister for the fan as it had lost different speeds. Could something have been knocked loose when I replaced the fan? I dont drive it often so I cannot recall if this happened right after the fan replacement or not. I dont think so.

Where do I begin? Motor runs great. good heat in hoses. Rear heat/ac works great.

Yes that it's the one I mentioned.wouldn't there only be one in the vehicle fir air mixture from the outside?

If you have dual zone climate control there will be one for each side.

Yes it has dual climate so the two on each side are a temp actuator. I'm wondering where the blend door is for the outside air.

I saw a video of a Pontiac Transport having it just under the plastic cover over the defrost area. That is a older 97 model before it became the Montana so I dont know if it still resides there or somewhere else.

With ur cabin filters out look inside there u may find the blend door linkage near by. Trying to understand how the system works. There is the heater core then there must be another core or a coil for the cold refridgerant to pass through. If you know where this happens then the blend door is near by. I know where to find the heater core.

One thing I noticed while test driving it tonight (in 100 degree weather! ugh)
If I turn the temp to all heat you can hear a clunk like a door flopping shut. If I am on vents and turn the temp to hot, the air goes away from the vent, nothing coming out. I dont feel anything coming out of the floor or defrost either. If I turn it back to cold I can hear the same faint clunk and the air comes out the vent again. hot, but the air comes back.

It does the same thing on both sides so I still think the blend door to the outside out is stuck wide open. this would explain all hot air in summer and all freezing air in the winter. No heat or ac when needed. I just have no idea where the blend door is and where the actuator that goes with it is.

The left and right actuators appear to be the dual climate temperature controls not the outside air blend door.
