Block 350 1970 - engine timings and quick start - loss of power problem

Hello tech gurus, I'm in desperate search for help with some engine data.
I have a 1970 block 350 engine - all stock - no modifications. I am experiencing a temporary loss of power at low RPM when trying to do a quick start (call it trying a burnout).
Carb seems to be working in order also acceleration pump, changed, cables and spark-plugs but the problem tends to persist. I am wondering if it's a common problem with the engine or a setting.
Also I am looking for data on the timing settings on the engine, as well as the spacing for the hammer in the distributor - can anyone help with this data?

The initial timing on a stock 1970 350 is set with the vacuum advance line disconnected.
You have to set the point dwell to 30 degrees before setting the timing.
The timing is set to 9 degrees BTDC.
I have no idea what you are referring to in a distributor that resembles a hammer, do you mean the advance weights?
The 350 in 1970 came only with a 2bbl carburetor and non performance gearing so burnouts are not one of it's high marks.

Thank you for the quick reply - for the spacing I mean the spacing of the contact breaker in the distributor.

To do it accurately you use a dwell meter.
If you want to use feeler gauges you get the rubbing block on the points on a high point on the distributor cam and set them for .016.
This is done before setting the timing.
