The blower was intermittent so I checked the motor and resistor pack and both were good. But the connector was the problem , see moisture drips down into the resistor pack and then to the connection and corroded the plug terminal. Right now I just have a short nail through the purple wire and making the connection, but I am going to hit some junkyards to see if there is a crunched car with that red plug.
Does anyone know if you can buy one of these plugs anywhere???

if you try google "pontiac torrent blower resistor plug" you may find one

Ok I didn't like the idea of the nail but it was hot, late at night and the mosquitoes were all over me. Today I pulled it out and since it was the purple wire at the end, I took the nippers and cut off that part of the plug. I trimmed the wire and put on a spade terminal and pluggedd it in and put the plug back in and it is working fine. At first I thought about just using spade terminals but the gap is just too small. The plug has a plastic separators between the terminals so I left that in place and it snugs the new spade terminat right up. Now if someone needs to replace the resistor pack in the future, it will be easy because the plug only goes one way and it is all pretty straight forward.
