So, I found a second body bushing lose while under the bird. Are these as easy as removing the bolt and replacing the bushing or is there something more sinister?:p

I guess you will have to compare a new one to the old one which is probably compressed and from that decide whether you can replace it without partially lifting the body.

cool. now digg this... I was installing my battery and when I went to put the neg on, it started cranking over. I was told the 2 skinny wires on the starter were backwards. Changed em...now nothing????WTF is going on???

Something is missing from your story.
Why would the wires be reversed to start with?
Did you change the starter and this was the first time you connected the battery?

I pulled the engine 2016 just to clean it up to have a nice og car. I was diagnosed with throat cancer on my B day in 2016 and car sat , and still is. I finally got her off the jack stands, or so I thought. anyway, people change starters right,
and sometimes we forget what's what? I've done this swap several times but in a much timelier fashion. lol. It just seems like 2 steps forward, 6 back. So... I went from the car cranking with no key to nothing with a key.

Was the key in the ignition when you connected the battery?
One wire comes from the ignition switch, with the key in the run position this wire should have full battery voltage. This wire connects to the S terminal on the solenoid. The other wire when disconnected should have no voltage in any key position.
