Linkage

Had some worries about what would fit back to it's original place after minor upgrades. I was susprised to see all the linkage went right back in and works.

that is a tall intake manifold, you have checked hood clearance or made an educated guess?

clearance

From base plate air cleaner mount at carb to top of cowl at fire wall 3.5"
4" to bottom of hood. Educated with a measuring device.

Grill

Forgot how many little bits and pieces there are. Grill turned out alright...

It's the break in filter. Still full of Gibbs. Will install a duel bypass system in the future.

No that the snow has started to melt and the garage is not an igloo, was able to get some chrome on the beast... The front bumper is a battering ram !!!

Either do I !!! It could be. Big heavy lump of steel. What a pain in the arse hanging that thing without tearing up the paint. Still need some adjusting, aligning, but it's on... It will be in the wife's hands soon...

This '66 2+2 is from a show in 2010. I still remember that car - thought it looked awesome in white. 421, 4-spd.

That is a bad a$$ '22 long land yacht. Any other pictures of that Cat? Already see some panel alignment mistakes with mine. Good reference material, thank you...

I thought you might like it! I have a couple more pics & will post tomorrow. I have to edit them (blank out license plate, people's faces) for public posting. I had a '68 Catalina 2-dr hardtop, but I always liked the '66 frt end. The gills on the 2+2 are wild!

P.S. You'll 'drive' yourself nuts if you focus on every little alignment/flaw. Your car looks great & you're probably the only one who'd ever notice anything wrong.
