Just getting started on this 65 Catalina. Would like to keep the 14 inch wheels for now, since I have all the hubcaps in great condition. Thinking maybe just an upgrade to power brakes with dual master cylinder and brake line re-do. Anyone have suggestions...what fits etc. Thank you!

about brake upgrade

Thanks.....I was thinking someone may have come up with a way to simply do a split braking system with "stock" parts. The conversions are nice but later on my list, for sure. Incidentally....I go way back with Pontiac....used to do a lot with HO Racing....think I may have a catalog around here somewhere :)

Any update on what you come up? I remember a previous neighbor here with 65 Catalina who thought bout split braking system for the front but end up with a new brake kit. Its Master Power brakes if I remember correctly.

brake upgrade

Still no real success in coming up with a split drum brake system for this 65. I may just need to buy later (67 or so) master cylinder and devise a way to plumb it. Did get all the brakes rebuilt with new parts....and did front springs and every bushing in front end and ball joints and all. Took some pictures and will try to organize them into something!
Still open to ideas about updating to dual drum brakes....and incidentally they are not power originally....may have to think about that too.

hey guys! sorry for piggybacking! But I just got myself a real cherry 63 catalina and am trying to bring it to speed. can anyone lead me to a kit for around 500? I have seen people change spindles and adapters but, don't know where to find the Front 77 Bonneville wagon rotors to complete. Again, I'm sorry if I bogarted your thread; just need brake help as well! Or can someone help me compile a build list?

There was no 1977 Bonneville wagon.
