Braking System warning light

My Braking System light wont shut off and the day light stays on all the time (licence plate light..etc)...Brake fluid is okay emergency brake okay...all braking works...there is no leaks..the mechanic believes theres a short somewhere in the wiring? Can anybody give me directions where the short might be so i can direct the mechanic

If you mechanic needs directions, you need a new mechanic! Did he check if there is a problem with the parking brake switch that turns on the light? If he is a qualified mechanic he should have access to all wiring diagrams and bulletins.

i think the day lights are suppose to run all the time...

as for ur break light u should probably have ur break lines replaced.

my grand prix break light came on once checked no leaks and it breaked perfectly then i came out the next day and the break pedal went straight to the floor and it was spraying so i suggest u go to a GM certified mechanic who actually knows how to diagnose the real issues.

just stop by a pontiac dealer they will find out ur issue.

you really cant go by online because it could be shortage, fuses, sensors or a actual break system issue
