Hi, is it worth it to buy a 1998 Firebird: TA LS1? The LS1 engine has 70k miles on it while the body has near 90k. Some of the details are:

-6 speed transmission-SLP Dual/Dual exhaust-Eibach Sportline Springs- 35% tint on sides, 5% on back- TA WS6 17" wheels with new Yokohama tires-clean

I am going to look at it in a couple days. He is asking 7000 but I am going to offer 6k. I know there are low miles on the engine and decent on the body, but is it worth it at this day and age to buy a 12 year old car? Or should I wait and save for something like a newer Dodge Neon SRT4 or an RX8 (though I hear rotaries get problems quickly)

Thanks!

Sounds like you have to decide what kind of car you want because Firebirds and Neons are not the same. As for price you can get an idea by looking at sites like www.edmunds.com or www.nada.com You should have the car checked by a competent mechanic before buying it
