camaro or firebird?

i am a 15 year old girl
i am getting ready to buy my first car
and im really wanting a camaro
or a fire bird
i was wondering how much you think insurance will be
and what kind of gas mileage
these cars get..
any help will be apreiciated

The insurance would be over $200 a month easliy...plus they would drink gas like crazy. I hope you have a decent job.

if you get a newer car with a 3.8L v6 you wont be as bad off. a v8 car will drain your money.

as for deciding between the two you should look at features, sit in each style, and take the condition of the individual car into account. personally i have found pontiac interiors to be more to my liking than chevy.

call your (parents) insurance company and ask how much an x year x engine camaro/firebird would cost to insure. they can give you a rough estimate. (like sukbunny stated it will probably be at or over $200 a month)

I would agree it will NOT be as cheep as most other vehicles would be, but at that age nothing is going to be inexpensive to insure I would definatly stick to a V/6 car they offer decent economy 25-30 MPG if driven properly and well tuned..
I would suggest talking it over with your parents and make an educated decision ..
