Has anyone ever changed their camshaft pulley. i have a 2000 Montana.

was just wondering if anyone has done it, or if anyone maybe has photos or tips that would be helpful.

My pulley keeps throwing the belt half way off as soon as i start the engine, no matter how tight the belt is.

thanks for reading. hoping i get some feedback/help!

I would think one of your pulleys is not lined up properly ,did you replace your alternator or tensionor lately ?

Not recently.

when im stopped at a light. i can hear/feel it wobbling

I had to replace the whole cranshaft pulley. the harmonizer and the pulley were beggining to seperate! it wasnt that hard. went in from the passenger wheel well. if anyone has to do this job, make sure to have a Torque rachet and a pulley puller. i borrowed one from Autozone. it was $20 bucks to take it and they give you ALL your money back when you return it. and DO NOT CROSS THREAD YOUR BOLT. my friend made that stupid mistake while he was helping me :'(

ive got 158,000 miles on mine. and i have no idea why. the rubbher seal seemed to be drying up and started cracking and chipping away causing the spinning to be off balance. the whole project is about $70 and about 3 hours of labor. not bad.

Not bad price at all just think if you had to pay someone ? $$$$$$$$ and the beauty of doing it yourself is you know its done right (or in my case you know how to fix it again).
