Can a 2003 Pontiac Aztek tow a 1985 F-150 Ford Pick-up on a long freeway

I would tow it down the road, but not on a long freeway drive.

drive? I'm planning on using a tow bar (all 4 wheels of the pick-up will be on the ground), but my main concern is the braking power of the Aztek.

It should make it if your not going through ang tough terrain and you take it easy in the slow lane...
