Greetings:
I just bought a 2008 Grand Prix at an auction. Unfortunately, there were no keyless entry remotes given with the keys. If I get the keyless entry remote fobs, can I program them at home or do I have to go to the dealer to get them programmed? And if I CAN program the remotes at home, what is the procedure to do it?

Thanks in advance

You can buy the Keyless entry on auction sites, but you will need to bring it in to a dealer to have it programmed.

You can buy OEM ones on auction sites, which usually are much cheaper than buying them from the Dealer outright.

Some makes and models can be done by yourself, but according to the auctions, this one needs to be brought to a Pontiac Dealer.

Check with local locksmiths. Many of them now have the equipment to do car remotes. Call around for someone that does auto work, and prices will vary from one locksmith to another.
