Can i make a cold air intake for my pontiac grand am?

Its a 1997 pontiac grand am se. i need detailed instructions and if there is someplace i can buy one that would be great to just let me know thxs
 
Yes you could make a cold air intake, or a warm air intake for this car. All you have to do is buy some of the 3" rubber sleeves that connect 1 pipe to another, or to the throttle body. Buy some 3" pipe. You can use exhaust pipe but it will be heavier. I would look for intake, or intercooler piping. Now just get a hacksaw, and take the pipe you have and line out where your going to route it to. Cut the angles, and lengths you need, and connect them all. The put your filter on the end. You'll want to make some homemade brankets, or something to hold the intake from bouncng around. If your not good at making brackets and such. Another good thing that works for this is zip strips. Put a couple of those on to something solid, and it will hold it good. If you don't want to make a homemade one try searching on ebay for a cheaper one. You could also try here.
