What is the benefit of headers and/ or glasspacks? Can I use both? Can I put them on a V6? What is the best for making the car sound louder and tougher?

the main benefit of each is increasing horsepower by removing back pressure in the exhaust system. Yes you can probably get them for a V6. The glass packs willdo the most for the sound, although the headers will change the sound of your engine as well. Headers are one of the first things people recommend to boost horsepower, and a higher flow muffler is probably the first thing to do about sound.

A V6 firebird is generally going to be thought of as underpowered, so if you are looking at prestige, be careful about spending too much money on that engine. You'll never be cool in the gearhead circles running a V6 in a car that can handle a V8

Oh heck yes you can put them on. Many header manufacturers will have headers designed for your car. They will increase fuel efficiency and power, but only slightly. And they do sound nice. You'll have to do some research to find out about prices and what various header designs offer. Some are just for people who simply want headers (the cheaper ones), and some are truly engineered for maximum performance.

glass packs will do little in the way of horse power, they are packed with fiber glass
a better muffler for horse power would be flow masters they use no fillings to muffle the sounds ,they use desighn to bounce sound around inside the muffler till most sound is canceled with no airflow restrictions
