Can someone help me figure out whats wrong with my 99 Pontiac Grand Am?

My 99 Grand Am makes a strange and very loud wer wer wer wer wer noise while I'm driving. I also feel grinding underneath my feet. I know it's not the breaks because I just had them done and I only hear the sound and the grinding while accelerating.

Sounds like it could be a wheel bearing, although it is possible that some contamination like oil or grease got on the rotors when the brake job was being done and grinds, but more than likely the wheel bearing is bad.

Noise is probably transmission

Hi,

Responding to an old post. Probably tranmission, I get same noise on accelerating on the highway with my 2001 Grand proix and mechanics agree it is 3rd of 4th gear of the transmission. The car drives fine with no grinding of sticking so will see what happens

What became of this noise, ever find out what it was.
