Can you give me an estimate of what it might cost to replace struts and shocks on a 97 Pontiac

Grand Am? I am considering buying this vehicle for $2,000. It has 104,000 miles and is said to be in good condition except for the fact it needs new struts and shocks.

Can you give me an idea what it might cost to have new ones put on by a professional? Thanks for your help.
 
If in fact is has shocks in the rear, figure struts and shocks using top of the line Monroe struts and shocks with a lifetime warranty 700 bucks with a 4 wheel alignment afterwards. I'd suggest Monroe Sensa Tracs. I am sure you can find it cheaper but that's what we'd charge, just keep in mind the quality of the parts (dont use autozone gabriels).
