can you lay down the back seat in a 2005 pontiac grand am SE?

this sounds so lame but my husband and I have had our pontiac for three or four years now but don't see how you can lay the back seat down so we were wondering if that was even possible.we are always needing to haul things but not enough room to do so.

Our 04 has two straps hanging down in the trunk. Pull them down, and if you can reach, push forward on the back of the seats, if you can't reach, someone else will have to pull the seat backs forward while you pull down on the straps. There's a strap for the left side, and a strap for the right side.
