1 of 112 made? Numbers matching, GM Canada documented 350HO with TH400 automatic. Original condition survivor. Has been painted a correct Pontiac yellow (originally white), engine has been professionally rebuilt to original specs.

Power steering, brakes, windows, top and antenna.

Is this car as rare as I am led to understand? Is there interest from anyone that collects Pontiacs? I would consider selling the car.

I would like to hear from any enthusiasts that might have good input on my car.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response and for the info. My car is an "XC" code motor as stamped on the front passenger side of the block. I saw another thread on this forum that suggested that only 112 convertible, automatic 350HO's were produced, quoting a Haggerty site link. It would be nice to confirm this.

Thanks!

I dont think you will ever get real documentation on the number of 1969 Firebirds, that were convertibles, and equipped with the 350 HO, only guesses on the number.

Have you sent for the Pontiac Historical Service Info Pack on it? Assuming it is a US Built Car.

http://www.phs-online.com/services.html

It costs $65.00 USD and will tell you how your car came out of the Factory. The owner and his son are real car guys, and will usually talk your ear off if they are interested in your car.

I agree that we may never know how many 350 HO Convertables were Built in 1969. PHS has the information, but it is stored on the original Micro Phish and is not computorized. Someone would have to pay to have all the 69 Build sheets compiled. And unfortunately they are not valuable enough as of yet to justify some one doing that.
The only reason some of the more desirable cars like the 69 Trans Am's, and the Ram Air II and IV GTO's & Firebird numbers are known is that someone spent the money to find out. That and there were so few made it was an easier task.

You may be right about the guesses on production numbers but I figure someone might know. I have not approached PHS but have heard of that service. For interest I attach photos of the GM Canada documentation and a copy of the Article suggesting the 112 production number.

No matter what the actual number there is no debating you have a very rare combination of options in that car, good luck with it.
