So my dad and I just finished installing the Wizaired CAI and I still hear no whine. Does anyone have any clue why this is? I mainly bought the CAI for the sound so I'm pretty frustrated right now haha. Any help would be great. Its also a 2002 Grand Prix GTP. If there's any relevance the modifications I have are 3" downpipe, u bend delete, powerlog front manifold, and the Wizaired. Thanks!

I am confused. Your title states: "Cannot hear supercharger whine", but you are talking about a cold air intake and not hearing whine: "So my dad and I just finished installing the Wizaired CAI and I still hear no whine." So are you talking about the CAI or the supercharger? The cold air intakes are usually noisy little things and have a suction noise.

I see no evidence that Wizaired makes superchargers. You installed a CAI there is no whine.

Ok I guess I'll have to rephrase it. I think it's common knowledge that CAIs will make a supercharger whine much more audible. My dilemma is that I still cannot hear mine. I am not claiming that Wizaired makes superchargers but what in the stock Eaton M90 is not allowing me to hear the whine?

Did you attach a boost gauge to verify that the supercharger is actually working?

I'm going by the stock boost gauge; you know the one that fills up with the little squares.

There are a few sound clips on You Tube for Grand Prix superchargers but they are all from the outside of the car. The mechanical noise itself to the best of my knowledge is related to the two impellers inside the supercharger and not related to incoming air restriction. Did you listen under the hood before and after the installation of the CAI. You would hear an increase in the sucking sound of the air through the CAI but I would think no difference in the mechanical whine sound.
