I've seen other people online having this problem but they never found a solution.
Ever since we bought our car, it's had this "farting" noise. After a drive, I'd park the car and turn it off and it makes this "farting" noise. Sounds like it comes from the rear end, maybe the gas tank or the exhaust. One person said his car was doing this, mechanic replaced his muffler cause it had holes in it, solved the problem for a couple days but it ended up coming back. Not sure what it is or where exactly it's coming from. Tends to do it about 30 seconds after turning the car off.
Tonight, after driving to the store, I came back home, parked, turned on my video camera, turned the car off then quickly ran to the back of the car to try to catch it on tape. And of course, it didn't make the sound this time. I'll keep trying to get it on tape.
The noise doesn't seem to affect the drive ability of the car at all, it's just annoying.
