nope its a pain but keep at it ,i think it has to be done with in 5 seconds. On my previous 2000 I had to do it 2 and sometimes 3 times for it to take but on my current 03 it takes it the first time.
How to Reset the CHANGE ENGINE OIL Message
1. With the ignition key in RUN but the engine off,
fully push and release the accelerator pedal slowly
three times within five seconds.
2. Turn the key to OFF.
If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message comes
back on, the engine oil life monitor has not reset
My 2003 doesn't use the accelorator, you reset it the way you would the trip odometer. With the ignition turned to ACC, I use the trip odometer and flip through to the oil life, then press and hold the button until it resets.
