have you tried a chemical sealant? if a minor leak there are sealants sold to address this problem. this will work half the time. if repair is needed it is quite difficult and may require a professional
 
What is it that you want to know about the head gasket. If you didn't run it to hot to warp the head ,they can replace the head gasket and it should be good to go.
